Feeding the hungry!

The higher form of dharma which all the Siddha Sages so constantly remind us is to feed living beings- humans, animals, birds and even ants!
To attain divine grace in our journey through enlightenment and beyond, feeding all living beings is one of the most important dharmas.
It is sometimes hard to feel the pangs of hunger in a country like USA where food is taken for granted. In countries like India, a vast number of humans find it difficult to put together atleast one nutritious meal a day.
One of my Siddha Gurus, Rajaswamy Siddhar would say, "For the one who feeds others hunger, the divine enacts his every thought or need and any word he utters would come true by the virtue of his good karma accumulated by this dharma".
The photos below were taken while on our Shivrathri pilgrimage of 2004. It was the celebration of random kindness by all the wonderful generous beings who came together to feed a vast number of hungry stomachs!

feeding Saddhus at the cave in which Sri Ramana Maharishi meditated for 6 years.

A seating arrangement for 400 persons in one sitting... the feeding began at 8am to end at 3 pm!
We hope to be conducting this dharma every Thursdays, 4 days a month.
"I am the food of life, I am, I am;
I eat the food of life, I eat, I eat.
I link food and water, I link, I link.
I am the first-born in the universe;
Older than the gods, I am immortal.
Who shares food with the hungry protects me;
Who shares not with them is consumed by me.
I am this world and I consume this world.
They who understand this understand life."
-Taittiriya Upanishad
