What is Kalangi Yoga?
Kalangi Yoga is a awakening (kundalini); comprises of
simple hatha yoga (physical postures) along with simple
but advanced yogic techniques utilizing empowered
ancient mantras, breath and visualization.
How does Kalangi Yoga Workshop benefit me?
There are far too many benefits associated with the
practice of Kalangi Yoga as it it incorporates and
brings together the teachings of
several enlightened masters, the
Siddhar Sages, as a simple process
of yoga that can be done by ourselves in 5 minutes or even five
hours.
Kalangi Yoga aligns the body with the mind and then
leads us into the experience of being Spirit. As with
most yoga (yoga postures), health is a natural out come.
When each posture is tuned into breath and focus, the
body is aligned with the
mind.
Utilizing the breath, the mantras, the inner stillness
and the inspired joys, the body and mind aligns with the
Spirit as a meditation by itself.
Kalangi Yoga does enable alight the nadis (energy
points that run along the body) to hold space for
intense meditation.
Kalangi Yoga leads us into a 24/7 meditative awareness
of each breath, as a yogi, as inner ascending fires that
rejuvenate the mind and body.
A healthy body enables clarity of the mind. A clear mind
helps sleep well, think with focus and is always in
harmony. An awake mind is empowered through the power to
manifest reality with ease, evolve each moment and be
inspired at all times.
Is Kalangi Yoga religious?
Kalangi Yoga is the experience of being Spirit, and so
it is 'spiritual' and not religious. (Religion is defined as a set of rules
meant to be followed
strictly by an organization). Kalangi Yoga is the yogic practice of the
Siddhar Sages who walked away from collective
intellectual ego and caste systems that represents the
India we know. The Siddhar Sages instead chose to align
directly with Source through the ancient lineage of
light represented by the Gurus who spent entire
life times in meditation, seclusion and some times, in
the main stream world fulfilling the ancient intent as
purpose. The ultimate wisdom however is
Sanathana Dharma, the inner realized wisdom
of all Sages, the wisdom that is
inclusive of all paths. The goal of Kalangi Yoga is to
be the Spirit having the human experience all the
time.
I have a Guru already. Is it alright to still take this
initiation workshop?
It is ideal for a seeker of today to have more than one
guide/guru/master/teacher. The path to Source is at
first like the honey found in different flowers
and the seeking process is like a bee checking out each
flower. Wisdom like honey is always One while the
intellect behind the wisdom is unique from master
to master. Some masters are adept in healing
& herbs;
others in mantras & pujas; others in hatha yoga
& tapas,
some in music & bhakti, and so on. As there are many stages of
'enlightenment', there are many who serve as masters. An
enlightened master is served by his/her disciple
exclusively through the seeking of more wisdom and
inner journey. Our path to the inner light is guided by
enlightened masters who know the cardinal rule to the
inner journey of the aspirant- to ensure the
self mastery of the aspirant that begins with freedom
and not control.
How long is the Kalangi Yoga Workshop and can you
describe it?
The workshop is 3 1/2- 4 hrs long-
but the true workshop is the life long ongoing process
of learning, teaching and practice we contribute
together as a circle. It is not physically
challenging but it is deep and intense as the process in
the workshop is a journey through the body,
mind and then the Being as Spirit.
We suggest you to go home and rest after the workshop.
What do you do during this initiation workshop?
Nandhi prefers to go with the 'flow'
based on the group he is teaching- so each workshop is
unique with the group energies playing a part to the
'flow'. We take you through the teachings and initiation through
the follow steps-
1. Nandhi will explain and teach about the inspiring
path of Kalangi Yoga through stories.
2. You will be taken through the basics of Kalangi Yoga
by way of Sun Salutations with the teachings and
initiation of the ancient mantras, along with
pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), visualizations
through each sequence, kapalabati (third eye breath of
fire) and the Guru chakra, and invoking the
masters through our breath to be our experience and the
third eye in relevance to the self mastery over the
awake experience.
3. Yagna Fire- this is a powerful fire ritual done where
we utilize the mantras to invoke the Divine, burn away
karmic negatives and the past and allow
ourselves to be receive the sacred energies as a renewal
process.
4. Siddhar Puja- we bring all the energies and attention
to focus on celebrating Source with offering of flower
petals. You will learn how to create your own
sacred Lamp altar so to grow the vortex of light that
assists you in your daily journey.
5. You will receive from Nandhi the other essentials of
the journey to light- the SivaSivaa CD set that has the
written info on the process and mantras; the
108 rudraksha mala and how to do your japa (mantra
recitations) with the mala; etc.
6. Question & answer time.
How do I continue my practice of Kalangi Yoga?

yoga by yourself each day.
- Join us for our Monday evening class that is open
exclusively to the inner circle (those who have attended
this workshop or done the SivaSivaa
journey).
- Nandhi conducts a once every fortnightly (once in two
weeks) telephone satsang over the phone- on Thursdays,
normally at 4.30 pm PST.
- Once a month, we have our New moon satsang and
sometimes on auspicious days like Mahasivrathri satsang
in our Ariven Temple. Satsangs incorporate Kalangi
Yoga.
- Email Nandhi with questions
and thoughts. - All the above
events are donation based.
Is there any age limit for practicing Kalangi yoga?
If you are able to do Sun Salutation, a basic sequence
of yoga, it is all that is needed. The reason why Sun
Salutation is emphasized is that it will be through
these postures that Kalangi Yoga basics will be
taught/initiated. Sun Salutation sequences of postures
are simple and the postures hold the benefits of all
yogic postures. If you cannot do Sun Salutation, we
advice you to take the SivaSivaa inner journey teachings
that do not require the physical part of the Kalangi
Yoga.
