In the Siddhar threshold of a range of mountains called
Sathurgiri, there is an ancient spiritual center on
Mahalingamalai. Over thousands of years, many Sages did intense
meditation here, worshipping naturally formed powerful Siva
lingams. Siddhar Sundaranathar did several years of rigorous
penance here in this sacred threshold.
