Yoga Posture- while at work

 

 

 

 

 

 


Keep the lamp below the tailbone of the spine.Feel the spine stacked like coins one over another, and be aware of the light below. Grow this fire that enables the spinal cord to hold the right posture throughout the time spent sitting. Especially while working on the computer or reading as this 'fire' not only enables health, but also guides as higher wisdom.

Through every breath, when you inhale, go down to the 'fire' to
the muladhara (base chakra... the spot below the tail bone) and imagine the 'fire' fill your entire being through the process of inhale. Notice the gentle upward lift! Gradually, with each inhale, notice the entire body lift in lightness as your back straightens.

Whenever you feel the backbone straining and you wish to slouch, feel the fire below your spine now connect to the fire above the navel. Feel this fire rise and emanate through the chest. This conscious thought helps the back straighten itself bringing us into a posture that enhances our concentration while strengthening our back.
